1. OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
Senior Root Cause Analysis (RCA) is responsible and accountable for formulating, planning, developing, implementing and monitoring Root Cause Analysis strategies for problem solving through all as part of the Reliability Performance Department activity with the objective of achieving safe and reliable plants that leads to cost control, customer satisfaction, and superior quality. The primary role of the Senior RCA is to administer and support the RCA effort from a management standpoint, provide high quality problem solving consultancy services and drive training and knowledge sharing between all plants to enhance employees’ knowledge and skills about RCA methodology to drive a problem solving culture change that will positively impact safety & reliability performance.
2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Description Performance Indicators
Review and analyze data to determine what actual problem requires resolution and obtain any additional information needed to understand the problem.
Developing and Implementing procedure to ensure compliance to unified RCA workflows.
Under the Investigation team leader, to act as Facilitator.
Provide problem solving expertise for all investigation team within Plants.
Assist in developing root cause analysis training & awareness program & suggest potential improvement to RCA.
Monitor RCA strategies for reporting, classifying, investigating, analysing and developing corrective actions for all safety, environmental, reliability, quality and other problems to prevent them from re occurrence.
Monitor investigation process assigned to all Plants within Plant and ensure that they carry out all work effectively & track all the RCA investigation recommendations.
Determine potential improvements to the systems or equipment and enhance employees’ knowledge and skills about RCA methodology to drive a problem-solving culture change that will positively impact safety & reliability performance.
Prepare periodic statistics reports based on actual investigations findings, analyze the common causes between them and develop short and long term plans for elimination. Prepare a proactive plan to identify and prevent potential system and human problems.
Formulate and monitor RCA key performance indicators & suggest potential improvements to the RCA. Also, provides interface with all plants RCA leader.
Drive the Reliability Culture in through: Methodology Training and Presentations.
